Biography:
After working for 13 years in the video
production industry, Mr. Don Smith joined the faculty of Montgomery College in
1981. He taught video production and media classes in the Visual Communications
Technologies (VCT) Department until 1997. During his faculty years, he served as
the Coordinator of the TV/Radio program and Chair of the VCT Department. His
transition to administration at the College began with his service for one
semester as Acting Dean of the Fine, Performing and Visual Arts on the

The Arts Institute of Montgomery College provides a college wide focus on
the arts, including the visual and performing arts. It is committed to promoting
